6 Tools I Use to Run SPLICE clothing

As a solopreneur, I know there is no way I'd be able to do everything required to run this business without some amazing tools to help me. Here's a list of my top 6 tools I use to run SPLICE clothing:

1. Stickermule

Stickermule is an amazingly fun company and a lifesaver when it comes to promotional material and shipping supplies! I get SPLICE clothing logo'ed packing tape, stickers, and poly mailers from Stickermule and it has made all the difference in being able to ship packages in style!

If you sign up for their email list, they send out promotions almost daily for various products, so it's easy to take advantage of super low prices to try out new products or new artwork on products you already love.

2. Rollo Label Printer

When I first started sending out orders last year, I quickly realized what a pain it was going to be to ship everything without being able to print the postage myself. I scoured the internet to find the best label printer I could find for my budget and I landed on the Rollo Printer and I haven't looked back since!

It's small, easy to install, and conveniently integrates with all the other tools I use for my business. Now my shipments look professional, take a fraction of the time to ship, and at a super affordable price.

3. Shopify

Speaking of integrations, Shopify is the ultimate e-commerce tool that I use in conjunction with my Rollo printer. I use Shopify to design and host my website because it was created specifically for e-commerce stores to be able to quickly and easily get their virtual store front up and running.

It has tons of themes, apps, and tools that have enabled me create a functional and appealing website and to keep track of orders, tracking numbers, and finances all in one. I'm convinced it's the best tool an e-commerce brand could have!

4. Canva

If you've received an order with a postcard, looked at the hero banner on www.spliceclothing.com, or liked graphic I posted on social media, chances are I used Canva to create it.

Canva is a graphic design platform you can use either on the computer or the mobile app to create social media graphics, presentation, posters, documents, and other visual content. And it is much easier than learning Photoshop or Illustrator. They even have templates already created for you to work off of for basically every possible scenario! If you need to create graphics for any occasion, I highly suggest checking out Canva!

5. Quickbooks

As annoying as it is, accounting is an important component of any business. However, I don't like to focus too much of my time on the books. I'd rather spend my time designing, creating, marketing, and doing other things in my business that I actually enjoy.

That's why I love using Quickbooks. It's another software that integrates with other tools I use, like Shopify and my financial institutions to capture all the sales and expenses that are incurred day to day without me having to lift a finger.

6. Rocketbook

My Rocketbook Smart Notebook is like my secret weapon. I use it for so many things from note-taking at a conference, to jotting down a reminder, to sketching my latest designs to share with my manufacturers.

It's a notebook that has 2 cool features - 1. erasable pages so you can reuse the same page over and over again & 2. QR codes at the corner of every page so you can easily scan your pages to a Google Drive account, to an email, to send as a text, wherever you want! It's also tiny enough to throw in my purse so I take it with me wherever I go, just in case inspiration strikes!

There you have it! Those are my top 6 tools I use to keep SPLICE clothing chugging along. There's so much more that goes on behind the scenes besides just picking fabrics and taking Instagram pictures. I may be doing most of it on my own for the time being, but it's truly my dream to be an entrepreneur and growing a business from the ground up. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything!

Were you surprised by anything on the list? If you own a business, what are some of the tools you use? Let me know in the comments!
